Indestructibility+Coalition Flag+This=Every targeted sorcery/instant/ability your opponent has is useless, of course you lose 2 lands in the process but, oh well.

2/2 Haste effectively with a poor man's shroud isn't that impressive anymore. Could have been a 2/3, 3/2, or in today's metagame, a 3/3.
Or a 4/4, and make it a mythic rare, because why the hell not.

see, back in the day, this was outrageously good. a 2/2 with haste for 3 in red was actually hard to come by. The added ability made him, at the time, crazy.
'Course now almost no one would play him, but that he's halfway playable by modern standards says a fair bit

@Test-Subject_217601 Cruel Edict. They don't even lose a land and you lose 5 cards (2 lands, 2 auras, and himself). Not exactly a foolproof strategy, but good try. There are a ton of ways to deal with creatures without targeting.

Cruel Edict. They don't even lose a land and you lose 5 cards (2 lands, 2 auras, and himself). Not exactly a foolproof strategy, but good try. There are a ton of ways to deal with creatures without targeting.
