I see reprinting terrible white cards from Onslaught and the old core sets is a bit of a subtheme here.

there are a lot of auras/enchantments in the set. you're not going to do much better than enchantmet removal for one mana at instant speed, stop crying.

I'd hardly call 1-drop instant enchantment removal "terrible". This is a great card that can help out quite a bit, and can make a nasty combat trick against someone who is depending on an aura to live.
It lacks the versatility of the incredibly awesome Disenchant, but it is respectable.

Sideboard against Mythic Con***ion. That pesky sovereigns of lost alara/ eldrazi con***ion combo makes this a viable card. That makes this card legit. I like it.
