Good against control decks, I guess. You opponent takes a hit from that Dimir Cutpurse or is left tapped out for your postcombat main phase.

How about playing it on your opponent's creature, then block? They'd be forced to play everything in the precombat main phase, which can really screw with some types of deck strategies.
Or am I the only one thinking along those lines?

I dunno... maybe you could throw this on your general in EDH. Defender has to either block and tap out till next turn (might be a while in EDH), or take that extra-dangerous commander damage.
