I like how it says "anywhere". So even milling goes into effect. They really should make more cards like that. I think Deathgreeter should have read "from anywhere". (Otherwise, Soul Warden is better)

That sure looks like a cozy place to live in.

Pulled off a huge win with this once.

My opponent had flooded the board with 1/1 wolf tokens, but she only had 3 life. The wolves were *** everywhere. I had 4 creatures out and it was my turn. I had nothing with which to win, so I just rolled the die until this came up, so I attacked with everything. None of her creatures could block mine and live, which would have siphoned off 4 life, but she couldn't NOT block me either. Good times :)

I really hope they revisit Ulgrotha some time in the future. The background of Homelands was way too awesome to not be revisited!

That art - it's like Thomas Kinkade gone horribly wrong...

Best card to come from that plane.

For those not in the know, Ulgrotha is the site of the dreaded Homelands expansion.

I wish they had printed an Ulgrotha plane in the 2012 planechase... this was the first recognition this poor plane has had since 1995.

So it's baron sengir home?

The only downside to this card is that the mono-black player would really like to roll Chaos, but can't risk accidentally rolling Planeswalk instead. For everyone else, rolling is pure upside, which is nice.

"On the plane of Ulgrotha, the vampire known as Baron Sengir controls a whole region of tightly clustered small villages, cast in perpetual night: The Dark Barony. Castle Sengir looms over this region, symbolic of the Baron's rule. The art, fittingly by the artist of most of the Sengir family's cards in Homelands, Pete Venters, shows the Barony from the point of view of one of the castle's balconies. Travel to this world only if you're prepared to take the reins of the Barony for yourself, dispensing edicts and mind-destruction effects with power-mad abandon."
