It's on the curve for blue creatures, and extra card draw is never bad. Not great, and maybe most blue decks aren't dependent on lots of creatures, but I would be glad to have it.

Remember that "whenever becomes blocked" does not mean it triggers for each blocker, but instead it triggers for the state change from "not blocked" to "blocked"; so don't bother with any Lure combos.
@GoatKnapper: *Sermon about how a card should not be rated by single characteristics such as artwork or flavor text, but by playability in certain formats instead*
Enough yelling? :P

I imagine this card is very solid in limited. Too bad it's uncommon :(
They remove creature types like Uncle Istvan (as in, actually printed on the card) and add a creature type like Nautilus to an old card that hasn't been reprinted?
This can mean only one thing: the Amphin will be at war with the Nautiloids.
And to everyone else: Nautiloids are quite distinct from squids and octopodes, though they are all cephalopods. So props to WotC for retaining such a cool creature type! It makes my inner biology nerd happy!

This would be great with Lure, but only if you manage to get 2-3 cards out of it. It does not deter opponent from attacking, so it might be tricky to pull off.
Actually now that I think about it, a simple Bonesplitter would be the answer for this card. 4 damage is nasty to get hit with, and if he gets blocked you are most likely going to take something out with him, while drawing a card.
@Mode I just checked with the ORC on MTGO, they confirmed that it does indeed work with Lure.

The opposite of Ophidian. Or better Stealer of Secrets... I like it, teorically you can keep deal damage or, whenever it becomes blocked, destroy the blocking creature before damages... I'd like to see more of these creatures, like Drelnoch and Slith Strider...

And with Journey into Nyx, Nautilus tribal is now a thing. Yes, Magic is getting a second Nautilus. Crystalline Nautilus.
