Throw this in your colorless artifact deck and watch the other players kill each other in multiplayer. Too easy.

Wow! It's funny to see that instead of changing the creature types of this cycle, they kept them as Mongers - and in 4 out of 5 cases, ADDED a creature type to each!

All of the mongers are pretty awesome for multiplayer enthusiasts, but this one is especially interesting from a diplomatic point of view - if you tap out to cast it, it's entirely possible that one opponent might pay to save this guy if another opponent tries to pull a fast one with removal!

It would be much better if the new creature type were in fact "Unicornmonger," a seller of unicorns.

Oddly enough, it's ability targets, so if you are playing a multicolor deck and someone tries to use Wishmonger to give their creature protection from your other color, you can respond by using the ability to give it pro white, causing their use of the ability to be countered.

Also, Two-Headed Giant.

ideatog: They can then respond by using its ability again, in which case it ends up with protection from both colours. It just comes down to whoever has more mana.

@Ideatog: That won't work. "...protection from the color of its controller's choice..."

Should've known what was coming given that the sideboard consisted of a singleton Sol Ring (with the cool new art!), but who would know to anticipate this?

24 Plains
4 Golden Wish
4 Adarkar Unicorn
4 Benevolent Unicorn
4 Capashen Unicorn
4 Pearled Unicorn
4 Regal Unicorn
4 Revered Unicorn
4 Ronom Unicorn
3 Soaring Hope
...and 1 Wishmonger, with a handwritten line underneath the flavor text: "Will you marry me?"

Answer: "Yes, dear. But only if you learn to build better decks." <3

This might be useful in a colorless artifact deck, where the Wishmonger would do you much more good than your opponent.

Unicorn Monger? So in other words, a Brony?

He wished for shelter, but not for ownership of it.

In general, Mother of Runes is vastly superior to this card.

This annoys me about the new Race/Class standard for creature types. Why can't it just be a "monger" are ALL Wishmongers unicorns? Are all Boros Recruits goblins? It's understandable to have a class of not just one race.
