And just how did you manage that on turn one since it comes into play tapped?

What's that? The "Proliferate" mechanic just made these lands substantially better?
With proliferate on top of Amulet of Vigor, I can almost see these lands now being viable in Legacy... Definitely in casual.

...Don't do what I did and forget that it comes into play tapped. Smooth.

Would be so much better if it didn't get sac'd when it was empty. Then it could be used with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or as chaff for Smallpox. As it stands this has too many drawbacks. I know coming into play tapped was a must, but I really don't believe that the sac had to be as well. It's too bad. This card was just on the edge of that sweet spot right in-between "barely playable" and "broken."

I've loved this series of lands since Masques and yes, I've embraced proliferate with them. Play this on turn one, then on turn two drop a swamp. Say you had a couple of Dark Rituals in your hand, that's seven black mana on turn 2. Even with one it's five black mana.
