Strictly better than Jump.

I was struck by the WORDING of this card - "Untap it." is pretty abrupt for a Magic card, and don't other similar spells usually say "Untap target creature. It gains "?

Phew, good they created a worse version of Leap. I'm sure that one would have been far too powerful for todays standards.

"Hey, what if strap two unpopular effects together. Do you think it will get play?"

'coz every color needs his crappy instant... well except red. This one can be moderately useful, though. It's almost in same weight category as Seize the Initiative

Guys... I think everyone is underestimating this card quite a bit. This makes perfect use out of a powerful ground attacker, considering most flying (excluding demons) are medium to small sized. Untapping a creature AND giving it flying can be a huge slap in the face to an opponent attacking with a delicate or valuable flying creature.

The draw in Leap is pretty cool, but I'd say this could be better in many situations. This card just gives you all the more options and flexibility for blue control. Don't underestimate having two useful effects in one card at your disposal for a mere 1 blue mana.

4/5

@Ladnarud: Couldn't have said it better myself.

I don't see what's so bad about it.
It's essentially giving a creature flying and vigilance for {u}, great on a creature with infect

I think the idea of turning one of your tapped out attackers into a suddenly-flying blocker is pretty awesome. It won't be winning any Pro Tours any time soon, but this is an inspired and elegantly designed combat trick.

Sick art, too.

Flavor-wise, jump is better.
Now, about that G/U infect deck...

"That creature gains 'T: Draw a card.' until the end of turn."

Step 1: Go to Gatherer. Check.
Step 2: Look up broken things I want to untap:
1Anything that taps for multiple mana
2Cards that fudge the typeline (Artifact Creatures, Creature Lands, Artifact Creature Lands)
3Cards that enable fudging the typeline
4Big Giant Monsters with busted tap effects

of these, Voltaic Key is probably better for getting the job done...

except for #4. The trick to breaking this card is: ignore the flying. now what do you have? untap a guy for only 1 mana. now find some tap effects that you'd like to do a lot. now put 3 of these in a tap deck. NOW the flying is extra gravy that allows you to do all kinds of shenanigans. Playing this on a vanilla like Leatherback Baloth may be interesting, but possibly wasting UNTAPPED potential...

Think about it. find a creature with a tap ability. Use this card to untap it. Do the ability again.
If greenhilt trainee does this, for example, it can pump itself up 4/4 and swing. With flying.

I actually won a few games at the MBS Release thanks to this one. I can't remember if it was monoB or BW but it had Massacre Wurm as the bomb. Anyway.
Whenever I'd see a tumble magnet or tap cantrip, I'd side these babies in, along with some islands. No one ever expected them.

5/5 for two reasons: I love the card name, and the two-sentence wording sounds badass as written. It'd be at most a 3/5 if it said "Untap target creature. It gains flying until end of turn."
