I don't know the statistics of it, but there actually are A LOT of real world spiders that are predatory, mobile hunters, and not simply trappers. Wolf spiders and jumping spiders are some examples of them.

This seems like green's missing answer to Serra Angel, Sengir Vampire and Air Elemental. I wouldn't mind a core set reprint of this, as it is about the right size for a limited card, with a decent body and helps green with its traditional weakness: flyers.
