Nice that Wizards hasn't forgotten how to make useless creatures. In all seriousness, they balance the game and this block needs balancing.

Every block needs balancing actually :D It's a black Snapping Drake. Since this card has a generous name which is not obviously related to Zendikar, it is likely intended to become a choice for future Core Sets. Blue on the other hand got an improved version of that Drake in Worldwake.
