i personally feel this is only a good card because of the avenger, free +1/+1 counter anyone?

How did this card get 3 stars? It's weak in matters of power and toughness and it's ability is almost irrelevant.

I agree that non-stackable Landfall triggers are pretty boring, and although this is just an average card for draft maybe, i love the plant creature type, its artwork, and vigilance on green creatures.

Majinara, why do you think this is so weak. Besides the fact that its only 3 mana for a 2/3 (thats only a 1 power drop for the ability) in Zendikar limited play it is great against many creatures that are at best a 2/2. Plus it's a plant... AVENGER OF ZENDIKAR!!!

Green creature with vigilance !? what happened to color pie ?!

A better creature than most give it credit for, especially in draft. I've seen its usefulness, my friend got two of these things out on consecutive turns. The vigilance is threatening early-game (You should still have lands to search drop at that point anyway); not to mention it's hard to find on green creatures, landfall or not.

I agree, it's pretty much only good with the Avegnger, but the problem with it is that you play this on turn three (maybe two if you're lucky), and you have this guy which is alright holds down the fort. BUT, you have to wait another three or four turns (four or five if you played it on two) to play AoZ, which is 7cmc!! Way pricey. It's a great card and I'm glad I've gotten my hands on three of them but I just don't use them as much as I thought I would. It's just so expensive to play, that you're waiting half the game to play them. Good synergy though, very good. A couple AoZ's and two or three plants plus the ones AoZ put's into play, and your cherry. If you can make it that far, it's gonna be game over.

True_Smog , green has been considered the secondary color of vigilance since around Future Sight.
