Green-skinned elf. Or is she? Her ear looks like a human ear. Which raises the question; are the multiple versions of many Fallen Empires cards a legacy of cards removed from the set after their art was commisioned? Was Fallen Empires originaly ment to be a lot bigger? Was this art originaly intended for an Elf creature, or did Mr Poole draw her under the belief that she would be a human, or an orc, or something?

I wouldn't read too much into it; Mark Poole has problems drawing a straight line. He probably just botched the art.
As for the mulitple versions of card art, that was just the way they did things in small expansions.

official "lore" reason for the blue-skinned elvish scout, elvish hunter, and elvish healer is that it's "just warpaint" but I actually like the idea of blue-skinned elves myself. kind of wish they'd go back to experimenting with unusually colored elves.
