Finally, profitable life gain. Hoorah for White's power, which is on the rise.

Great, a new way for me to hate white... my friend got four of these in his life gain deck... i had a hard time finishing him off, but still he cant defeat my deck... poor guy...

Considering that almost every other white card in M10 is already overpowered I'm not to disappointed about expensive life gain.

Well a lil bit unnecesasry for a white deck, it has too many cards that have this gain life ability

Can the target of this spell be changed? For example, with Swerve or Wild Richochet? I had a huge dispute with my friend, because he said that he can swerve my Angel's Mercy unto himself, but I said that the card says "you gain...", not "TARGET PLAYER gains..." Can anyone confirm wtb either statement? Thanks.

@ Douchette no i do no belive you can swerve this spell. Swerve is very limited in it's uses. Things like lighting bolt or naturalize work fine but not everything has a target.

Heroes' Reunion > Nourish > this card, in my opinion.
Compared to those (and some other life-gain cards), i'd have guessed a card like this would come with 1WhiteWhite or 3White, but 2WhiteWhite is also ok for the sorta powercreeped white in M10 i guess.

@Douchette: You were correct. "Target" is the keyword Swerve and Wild Ricochet is looking for. "You" is not considered to be a target, hence this won't work. It would work with Heroes' Reunion for example, but not with this one.

"You" means the person who played/owns the card. Using a target-changing card doesn't change who played it.

I prefer Heroes' Reunion to this. Totally forgot about Nourish though.

I don't understand how this card could get more than a half star. oO

Why do this when for 4 mana (and if you played a land) you can gain 16 life with 2 Rest for the Wearys.

Life gain is worse then damage, so life gain should be more efficient than damage...otherwise no will use it.
With 4 mana I could cast 4 lightning bolts and deal 12 damage. Why would I want to use 4 mana to gain 7 life? I know 4 lightning bolts are 4 cards and this one, but still....This spell should have at least netted you 12 life.

I like this card, imo its a good card to put into a precon deck (Totem Power - Rise of the Eldrazi) sure its not metagame material but it is definately a good card to have when playing more locally (more or less) that 7 hp can stall out the game long enough to turn it around, though if im using it to stall id definately still take a Creature over it >.>

I believe this was meant to be drafted with Sanguine Bond.

It is an instant - so you can use it at the end of your opponents turn - or i combo it with Pristine Angel for a surprise untap!

Look closely; it's actually an angel-shaped rocket.
