To put it simply, it's broken. It should be uncommon...

2 stars. Mana cost is too much for what you get. Requires you to have too many artifacts in a limited deck to be effective, and isn't efficient enough for standard. If you do get lucky and land it on turn 4 with 3 or 4 +1/+1 counters, the card still has no evasion or protection. This card is asking for a lot from your deck to be effective, and if you don't have 1/3 of your deck as artifacts, there is really no point in having him in there, as he will usually be a more mana intensive Hill Giant.

I think this card is great for Esper in limited, albeit only if you have a lot of artifacts obviously. It is nice to have a decent sized creature for Esper that is a common.

the card itself is bad, but i'm glad wizards decided to create hybrid cards that use more than only the same two colors.

Since blue is the king of card drawing, this could get a considerable boost in the right deck. Esper forever!

Holy amplify batman, awesome for an esper/darksteel deck, if it had some decent evasion could prolly be a rare

To put it frankly Master of Etherium should be a better pick in constructed, heh if you manage to use one in limited, both limited and constructed are awesome. Just use Master of Etherium with the artifact lands such as Vault of Whispers, Seat of the Synod, andAncient Den.

No matter how you look at it, this is a good common. Sure, it'll only be good in artifact decks, but that's kinda what this card was meant for anyway. Saying its bad just because you can't use it yourself is just pointless.
At its worst, it's 4 mana wasted on a 2/2 artifact creature. At its best, it's 4 mana for a possible 8/8 or more - and it's still just a common.

Use Master Transmuter instead of casting to eek out an extra +1/+1 counter!

I agree. Not bad at all, except it costs too much and too many different colors to be terribly useful, unless your running a deck with a lot of draw power.

Only finds a place in a very specific kind of deck, but it sits very well there. I love the art and the way the cost looks. All in all I am glad it exists.

A fantastic common. 4/4 for 4 with this flexible of a mana cost is great, and I usually have it even bigger. Often my first or second drop in my Esper deck, and has never let me down.

I don't think I can trust an "arse ánal thresher."
