I'd rather use Ordered Migration. Those have evasion to deal some damage, or can chumpblock dragons.

what's so bad about making 5 tokens for 4 mana? you people are crazy devour? chump blocking? this card almost always gives creature advantage.

It's like sprout swarm, but... godawful.
It's a sorcery, and effectively costs 4 more than sprout swarm. Admittedly it gets you more in one go, but you only get one go, and volcanic fallout really doesn't care how many saprolings you have.

This is nothing like sprout swarm. It's more like an expensive, slightly more powerful, Dragon Fodder.

It's not a bad card, assuming you play 3+ colours and have a use for the saproling army.

Anybody else miss the days of Saproling Symbiosis? That card was so much better.

Yeah the real problem is that having access to all five types of mana is very different from having one of each basic land type in play. Domain, in general, is a slighty better ability than defender >_<

I love this card. Really sets the right tone for Mycoloth or just for holding out long enough to get something bigger out.

Well, I like the flavor text at least...

Utility is extremely limited, even for a 5-color deck.

Strictly worse than Brood Birthing.

Not worth it, especially for 4CMC, and considering the most you could get is a conditional 5 tokens. If it were an instant, it might be worth it. I think, for the most part, domain is a weak ability. You are probably better of running a 4 CMC multicolored card instead since you will have the mana anyway.

I never really liked domain :/

@DacenOctavio: That's not what "strictly worse" means. You're comparing cards of different colors with very different effects.
