Common rarity in the Masters edition suits much better to this card than Rare as back then in Fallen Empires, sheesh... I mean you play it for two (not even possibly to get it out at instant speed) and sac it for one further mana to get not even a Giant Growth effect? Yay. You get far better options these days. Also including artifacts, akthough currently just a simple white common comes to my mind...

I have this card and it is defintly the worst one I own. My friend gave me some cards when i started out and this was one of them at the time I actully thought this was good. Lol.

Too bad you have to sacrifice it, or else you could twiddle your lyre.

The flavor on this was always weird -- how does playing a lyre destroy it? ...and then it dawned on me, in the middle of a Mudhoney concert no less, that it all made perfect, perfect sense: elven lyricists are punk rawk.

I'd rather see Elven Liar.
"Of course I tap for mana! Why wouldn't I?"
