The dolphin in the card art is the weirdest part of this card.

I made an EDH deck with this guy once. It was...actually not bad.

I, too, run an EDH deck with this as the General. Granted, I don't play it very often as it's completely off of what the deck does (Draw/force draw), but the artwork's just so WTF that I picked it up since there wasn't a U/B general I liked for the deck.

Seems like one of those fun EDH generals that catches everyone by suprise. I gotta build an EDH deck with this right now!
Other than EDH, this card is sunk. (hehe!)

Next time Wizards goes and fiddles with creature subtypes, they really need to make this a Skeleton Pirate!

I've decided to join you guys. Dimir/Skeleton Ship EDH ftw!

I can just imagine the epic new artwork this would get were it ever to be reprinted. Not that the card itself is any good, but it's a pretty cool idea flavor-wise; much like Ghost Ship.

Not bad. At worse a wall. Withering pinger.

Is it manned by a skeleton crew?

Wonderful addition in a slow Vampire/Tim/Twiddle counter/control magic deck.

As many have said, this guy is essentially just useful as an EDH general...or at least in an EDH deck. There are so many ways to make him go infinite and wipe the board, it's not even funny. Sure, he's definitely not a tourney winner or anything, but he's definitely fun. Extremely overcosted for what it does for anything other than a slow multiplayer environment, that's for sure.

5/5 for its potential in a proliferate deck.

Very costly, but considering its color, the cost is worth it, especially with all the proliferation that exists today.

Sword-wielding skeletons riding flying turtles as the moon sinks into the ocean and a dolphin springs from the water. I'd say this card was the result of one man's delirious fever dream, but there are two artists on the card!

Y'know, I could imagine this being reprinted in a Mirrodin-based set. with flavor text like "Jin-Gitaxias may have bred great warriors, but I have created a more blessed creation to bear our Glorious Infection." -Sheoldred or "As if going near the sea wasn't suicide before."

Why does this Gatherer say that this card is 3U and CMC of 4, when it's 3UB and CMC 5 on the card?

It's not bad, but my god. Why is there a dolphin in the background?!
Oh wait I know why; it's a mother*** dolphin.
Looks likes there's some turtle in there too.
OMFG! Just noticed the badass skeleton riding that turtle!

The reason this is a legendary, is because this is a reference to Hel's ship Naglfar, that is made entirely of the fingernails (and toenails) of the dead, which will sail out against the Aesir at Ragnarok, in Norse mythology.
