Great deal for 1 blue mana. Outrageous deal in 2-headed giant if your team is playing combo + control -- in that case, there's nothing in Magic like it.

A bit like ponder to other player if you see my point except you get to draw a bit later and that player not

I feel that one of Cosi's Trickster's MySpace friends, this is one of its top fifteen. (The others would be Soldier of Fortune, Polymorph, Amba ss ador Sphinx, Boggart Forager, Terramorphic Expanse, The Harbingers from Lorwyn and Lord of Atlantis.)...
hehe... Myspace joke...nvm...BUT yeah!! Play the Trickster the first turn, then play Portent the next and attack with a 2/2 that will keep growing and growing through the prior cards.

Hmm, early game the extra utility it has over Ponder is definitely worth the wait on the draw.

Unfortunately late game you will be a little sad to top deck a slow-trip :(

Still: 4/5

A friend of mine built a deck on a bet. The deck could have no card cost more than 2cc, and the win condition had to be Psychogenic Probe.

I think you can see how cards and others like it played their part. The only time he plays the deck, is when someone new joins our group thinking they're hot stuff with their creature-based decks. It's always hilarious when they lose to a shuffling deck.

And he put the deck into pink sleeves. The name? "Two in the Pink". Genius.

Although Ponder is better because there are next to no situations you wouldn't use this on yourself, it is satisfying in a sick way to screw with other player's next draws...

I always target an opponent's deck, just because it feels so dirty to reorganize their thoughts.

It's funny that this has a better effect than ponder but the fact that it's a slowtrip makes it not restricted.

Good for setting up miracles to cast on your opponent's turn.

This is my favorite of the Ice Age (Ability. Draw a card at the beginning of the next turn's upkeep.) type cards. If they have 2 lands and a gimp card coming, you can choose to give them two lands and a gimp card last, or if it's hell coming you can shuffle and hope for the best. One blue for a draw is acceptable too.

Being able to control someone's draws is a brutal bit of tech. I've always wanted to use this, Misinformation and cards that mill just one card at time to build a deck where you constantly control their draws into continually more useless stuff.

Between counterspells and kill spells you can hold the early game while stuff like this tries to ensure there is never a late game. Sounds both obnoxious and fun to me!

It's a tradeoff. Portent you draw at the beginning of the next turn, but you can target others' libraries, whereas with Ponder you can target yourself - and you get the draw right then and there.
