Awesome flavor, this cars heals your wounds, then the scars make you tougher and more resilient, however damage prevention for creatures isn't usually needed this badly...

The alternate cost is a plus. Considering a lot of damage prevention is around 1-3 points, getting seven damage prevention, and maybe that many +1/+1 counters is definitely worth the one white card, as far as I'm concerned.

@themlsna: They are +0/+1 counters.

Most people don't realize it works almost as well as Force of Will at stopping your opponent's Channel-Fireball before you've even played a land.

Its funny how preventing all damage would make the card stronger but yet seem weaker because you are removing that big timmy number 7.

Permanently increasing your creature's toughness really isn't that great. Sure, this is instant speed and potentially manaless, but its still not that good. Outside of countering fireballs to your face, you would probably get more out of whispersilk cloak, shield sphere, or hero's resolve.

That said, this is a decently versatile card and could find a place in a Doran deck or similar.
