He's actually much better than Man-o'-War. The only additional setback is that you have to play blue and black.

Not bad for {U}{B}, but worthless in a mono{B} deck.

Wait, so a card that requires you to have a blue permanent in play isn't useful in a deck that doesn't have blue permanents?? I don't follow..

conflux = one of the best/my favorite expansions of all time. It's just a standard common, but the art, flavor, flavor text, ability, and usefulness in draft(it saved me in a game once) combine to make a card that just makes me sure that Magic the the top dog in gaming.

This card has been solid every time I use it. I don't know what you guys are saying, hard to play because you need an island out.

Huh, I'm surprised I haven't seen this guy. He actually is better than Man-O'-War: -You can nail non-creatures -You can play him even if they don't have creatures on the field (I.E. other bouncers will bounce themselves if there are no targets, he doesn't have to; either by bouncing a non creature or by simply not having blue permanents out.)
Seems perfect for my Warped Devotion deck. Not *quite* as good as a "may" clause, but honestly, it's such a control-ly deck that I'll sometimes be unable to play my creatures as they'll bounce themselves.

Remember: islands are not blue permanents.

This little zombie is one of my favorite one offs in my aluren deck. I am able to bounce all the nasty nonland permanents back to my opponents hand. Thumbs up (Y)
