The Dark had some of the lamest effects, which is sad b/c the flavor of the cards was pretty cool.

4 damage for 5 mana is already pretty lame. 4 damage that can only be directed at a player and only when that player has attacked for 5 mana is really useless. All of that plus 4 damage to yourself is so terrible that I'm at a loss for words.

I don't know if I'd say it's that bad. White direct damage is a pretty rare thing, and you could still play it even before your opponent's creatures deal damage to you, possibly winning you the game if they are low enough. Of course, just hope you yourself are above the 4 life mark or else it's a tie lol.
This seems like something that would be best used in a suicide white deck. You'll hit yourself for eight if you use it after you declare an attack. It'll only take two aimed at you and one aimed at an opponent to take yourself out.

It's a pretty effective card against Red. White has no problem dealing with the 4 damage, thats for sure, though the 5cc is a problem.

Hive Mind could make this obnoxious fun in a UW multiplayer deck. You cast it and every other player copies it, dealing 4 damage to every player and an extra 4*n damage to the unlucky sod who attacked this turn.
