not too bad, if you have something small like bonesaw on the field then it's a 3 cost monster that has a decent attack and flying

Makes a neat combo with Parasitic Strix.

With the number of artifacts with 'When this card comes into play, do something cool', you can do some nice stuff with this.

I like to use this to bounce an ornathopter for glassdust hulk's ability. Much hardier and 2 less than master transmuter for this purpose.

Awesome card: an inexpensive powerful flyer that works great in combination with Sanctum Gargoyle, Kaleidostone, Parasitic Stryx, Ethersworn Shieldmage, probably others I'm sure. Or throw in an ornithopter and never have to pay mana to recast after the bounce.

Question: Does Esperzoa's ability allow you to bounce back creatures of yours that have been exiled, ala Oblivion Ring?

@Poconos: No, an artifact is an artifact permanent, if it's not in play it's an artifact card.

Heal your shield spheres for free and get a powerful creature for (3). Good synergy.

Very strong. An improved blue version of stampeding wilderbeests.

Plenty of 0 cost artifacts, citp draw artifacts and cards that combo off artifacts coming into play out there, so most of the time his drawback is actually a benefit, making him a 4/3 flier with a benefit for 3 CMC and only 1 coloured mana.

Of course in limited he's probably more of a problem, but I could still see people using it in alara block draft.

this card is amazing when used properly. not much of a game breaking combo maker but it's a bunch of little things this guy can do that make him amazing. shield sphere as mentioned earlier is a great synergy as it is free to drop each turn as well as remove those pesky 0/-1 counters, but where i find this card really shines is when paired with mishra, artificer prodigy. yeah i will take double of this... and double of that...

I'd be pretty freaked out to see a lightning-wrathed jelly listlessly floating at me. But it seems really powerful with come into play effects. Imagine the hijinx with a Myr Battlesphere.

This guy is awesome. 4/3 flying for three is GREAT. the fact he's an artifact makes him even better. he can let you get repeatable etb effects, or just bounce a memnite that you can cast again straight away.
