given that there are also a bunch of unconditional 1/2 creatures with further little abilities, this card really isn't the best one. well, it's blue, but one-drops are usually all equally good indenpendant from color. would be a lovely reprint for a Core-Set, though. :P
I really like this art, but I wish it had been on something better. It's really creepy and gross. It's an underwater parasite, so an Ophidian-type effect would have been way cooler than just being a tiny tiny creature.

I've looked back on this card and realized; it's really not as bad as I thought. It's a blue 1/1 for U and no drawback, which I usually take as meaning "worth at least a 2.5" and it has an actual possible advantage that costs you no extra mana. It's not good enough of an advantage to earn it a 3, but it's definitely a 2.5 level "i could maybe play this" card.
