Obviously this card is horrible. You have to sac 4 islands to keep it attacking just once, and then a single bounce/destroy spell of your opponent renders it useless.
Still, the art is just incredible.

You can untap it other ways and by the time you can make 9 mana I bet you could spare a couple.

One of several creatures from the old days that is shown flying on the art but doesn't have flying.
The biggest creature at the time.
From the lovely Dark set.
A shocker at 4-blue mana to cast, with a sweet Tedin drawing to boot.
Took a lot of skill to play, I admit.
Games were slower back then,
ounter spells and floods could keep a blue deck in control.
I generally won when the Leviathon came out.
And there ain't nothing better than 10/10 trample!!

its possible it isnt flying but instead with its great power buried that lighthouse under the sea or is about too. this art makes it my favorite card. plus the draw back is just beautiful.
another though i had was possibly it wasnt originally a 9/9 trample but a flying air elemental? it could possibly have been a tornado monster or something. only mark tedin knows i guess
