Heh, you guys want to REALLY annoy someone? Play 4 of these things against a storm deck lol.

Run a playset and watch your opponents eyes bleed with rage. Even if they only get milled for two cards (instead of the potential EIGHT) per spell, they have to destroy four cards instead of just one to end the milling. And that's assuming these are the only mill cards you have.

This and Forced Fruition are over milling cards tho fruition is quite pricey

Great card for a mill/control deck, for against even another control.

the good thing about this card is that they get milled when they play the card. so they still get milled for two if their spell gets countered

I call this imposing a "casting tax". It becomes more painful very fast for each copy in play. Imagine those playing Storm or Cascade.

@slackwarewolf this has no special interaction with storm. their ramp, yes, but the storm trigger puts copies of spells directly onto the stack. the copies are never "played" (cast)

Not to mention that if a storm deck is "going off" successfully, you'll probably be dead before they have to draw again.

Great with Bloodchief Ascension on the field. My standard mill deck is going to miss this in July/August when the Alara block leaves Standard.

Does this still work if a spell is countered? I was under the impression that this didn't happen if a spell never 'resolved'.

Nice card, fits pretty good with the Dreamborn Muse deck I'm building at the moment. Multiplayer milling is da way to go. Forced Fruition would be a nice second choice (and yes, it's quite pricey).

Evacuation and this are beast. If they have a lot of creatures, they'll have to pay an arm and a leg to get their power back. If not, then you can cancel anything of value since blue usually has a counter if its got good draw power going.

This wins games so hard. Quite effective in the "Mind of Void" deck from Duels of the Planeswalkers.

10/4/2013 7:04:50 AM tremendously underrated. when this hits the field in my magic circle, everybody grumbles. i line it up with my friend's bloodchief ascension and watch the grumbles turn to concerned moans.
edit: The flavor of this card is extraordinary as it's embedded in the mechanics of this card. Think about how while living your live and getting older you do more things and get more memories of newer experiences. Those new memories cloud, lay over and replace the old memories. Here playing a card is the forging of a new experience and from it you mill two cards, aka forget old memories.
