Weak artwork, weak creature. 5 CMC in three colors for just 2/4 flying ex? I would rather use more of Akrasan Squires, but in sealed or when theres some place left can help. A bit.

I think this guy probably warrants another point on P/T somewhere, not sure where though.
Not terrible, I wouldn't mind drawing up a couple of these.
And they're at common. Not exactly an excuse, but you're not just going to be rolling in awesome cards all the time.

Is that why you wanted to make sure this aven won't get any action in any deck, Wizards?
It's a nightmare to cast in limited, and junk in constructed.

Considering how color-heavy that thing is, it could have easily cost

less or been 3/4, even 4/4 instead of 2/4.
Or they could have given it a more managable (yet Bant-representative) cost of
