This card can get any card from your graveyard for only 1G, clearly overpowered, the next time this was printed, it cost 2GG (Elven Cache)...

Really nice card. Nostalgic Dreams may be better depending.

for the longest time it was the only green card in my type 1 deck, it brought back Ancestral, twister or Walk most of the time.

This was like, the one thing green had going for it in Alpha.

It's a good card, but it's not as big a deal as people make it out to be. It can still get a same CMC reprint in Modern Development's eyes: check out Return to Ravnica's Treasured Find. It's good, fine. But when you ask Gatherer to look up '4.9 or higher' cards, it looks mildly unimpressive with the competition.

Restricted in vintage, because returning one of the power 9 for 1Green is too good!

There were a handful of powerful green cards in Alpha...
Regrowth, Fastbond, Berzerk, Channel, Birds, Elves...
...and don't forget the Force of Nature...

Treasured Find is quite a bit worse than this for 2 reasons. First, it requires 2 colors, which is much harder to generate with lotuses and second, it exiles itself, killing any combos with other graveyard recursion.

If you want to see a better example of how this effect has dropped in power look at eternal witness. Definitely agree that this is somewhat overrated at the moment though. That said, what makes it good is the same thing that makes snapcaster mage good, it isnt just a card, its whatever card you need at the moment. Can definitely see why that effect is more appreciated in formats with more powerful cards.
