It's odd, but Wit's End costs 1 mana more for basicly the same thing even though it's a black card.

They should have made a planeshifted version of this in Planar Chaos.
On the other hand, there'll probably be another set with timeshifted cards eventually.
Plus, they don't have to rely on the special card design and can just print them whenever they want. (Then again, cards with that design look pretty damn cool.)

Either way, the art will definitely be less disturbing. (Which comes from the guy that drew the original artwork for Ancestral Recall, Library of Alexandria, Balance, and Counterspell.)
