Great for any elf deck, if you play at least one you will always have a lil trample muscle which is really useful in a multiplayer game.

A good finisher for elves if the swarm itself is stopped somehow (Lightmine field?), especially now that creating lots of elf tokens is a "thing" for elves. Trample gives Heedless One the edge over, say Jagged Scar Archers or Drove of Elves as a finisher, and frankly there's just something cool about the entire "one" cycle.

I used to hate this card. I played with a guy who ran an Elf deck that was super boring to play against- he'd just ramp, throw down some elves, and then sit and wait for his Heedless One to show up.
Since I was playing a hyper-aggressive red deck, I'd either smash everything and win by turn four or he's sit and wait until he topdecked Heedless One and then attack for lethal. Every game.
I don't know why I kept playing with that guy.

I've lost to this card + Timberwatch Elf more times than I care to mention. Course it was worth it to see my friend's face after I Day of Judgmented this and about 30 of its little followers.
