Way under rated, especially as it is a goblin which can fit into a million decks.

Why the crap is this rated so low rated way too low

Is a goblin thats also a Bolt, depending on what you need him as.

A 2/1 Goblin for 1R isn't bad, but tack on a Bolt against players? Yeah, that's a good Goblin!

I don't understand why his Bolt ability is limited to upkeep only, though.

This art makes him look like he should have the skeleton creature type.

This card is rated low because it's a Goblin Piker with a terrible ability tacked on. I don't even see why it's rated as a 3. Try Ember Hauler for a Goblin that's actually decent and is similar but far better.

Well he's better than Goblin Piker, but I agree with Henrietta, Ember Hauler is a much better card in that it's ability can be used anytime, and it has higher toughness as well as an ability that can target creatures as well. Also in the type of deck Emberwilde Augur would tend to fit into (a very aggresive one, usually) sometimes the game can come down to that extra turn required for his upkeep ability to roll around.

That said, he still has hit merits and after one swing is {1}{R} for 5 damage on the upkeep of turn 4..not too shabby but nothing spectacular either.

The Card itself is not bad. the issue is that it dosn't keep up with the pace of goblins.it cant be saced in response and you cant attack with it and pop it in the same turn. (i know it sounds silly but that's how goblins work) if you want to sac a goblin for damage try Goblin Grenade

For those who think this is a Goblin Piker tacked to a Lightning Bolt, this can only target players.

Anyway, I feel like it should have either one or the other of the drawbacks it has; that it should either be able to blow itself up at any time or be able to target creatures.

Not both, though. This card should not be able to take down a 5-toughness creature.

The timing restriction is rather cumbersome, but this is still a decent creature when you need it, and 3 damage when you don't.

This is rated so low because it's a horrible card because you can only sac him during your upkeep. That stops him being a combat trick, surprising or even fun.
