The upside is that green now nearly has a Gravedigger available. For black he is no improvement to the original.

Really limited. On the plus side, Shadowmoor-Eventide cared a LOT about how colorful creatures were, and that was probably the creature you wanted anyway (Well hello again Doomgape), so it has certain advantages.
