Not that bad of a card, but it takes a turn or 2 to make it a 6/6

I don't like it. Unless you wait to play it, it'll come out as a 2/2 and it might just get killed by something. I think there are better cards.

4/5. Basically a Morph card. 6/6 First strike for 4. Yes please.

Well to be fair, its actually really good in that you get a 6/6 first striker for 4 mana. Yes you have to play red or white spells, but there are several multi spells that will remove 2 counters at once on the spot. For example, naya charm is both red and white, and balefire liege would not only remove 2 counters, but increase its power by 2 at the same time, your path to exile's remove at least 1 counter, as do lightning bolts. For simplicity sake, play lightning helix for dual red white action.

To be good, the hatchlings really need appropriate instant-speed spells in your hand. Or at least appropriate instant spells in your deck, and skill with bluffing :)

I would like to point out that it's breathing bees.

-Two words: VAMPIRE HEXMAGE
-Oh and guys, if I'm not mistaken, they are wasps :P

I've been so tempted to make a deck with all the hatchlings, and four vampire hexmage's. You can have a nice 6/6 creature with various abilities by turn four. I just need to figure out a way to make more of the hexmage's or get them back. Maybe I'll throw in some reinforcements, that way I can draw three hexmage's. Eh, there's plenty of regen spells out there.

I've won quite a few casual games with this guy. First strike really makes a difference. A good creature to have in the 4 CMC spot. In a purely red/white deck, he grows very quickly and the synergy between most red/white spells is ridiculous. With Balefire Liege out and enchanted with Scourge of the Nobilis this hatching is a very lethal threat.

"What're you going to do, Mr. Burns? Send the dogs after me? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouth, so that when they bark they shoot bees?"

If I couldn't get a Simpsons reference from this card, the artwork would be terrible rather than funny!

"Or what? You'll release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouth and when they bark they shoot bees at you? "

Apparently this is Magic's answer to Homer Simpson.

For his slot, I prefer Spitemare. While you can argue which one is the stronger, I prefer Spitemare because his ability has a lot of surprising combos within it, and a 6/6 first striker isn't really all that exciting to me.

First strike is really powerful, but I hate that this has the same manacost as many of the planeswalkers in the same colors :(

It's like...anti-Phyrexia. In Mirran colors.

A 2/2 with first strike for four mana is pretty bad. This is a situational card at best.

"Wizards claim that "embody the raw forces of nature." You know, like the raw force of a tentacle-dog with bees in its mouth, and when it barks, it shoots bees at you!"
