SilverSkyz: That block of stuff is impressive, but I don't really understand what you're trying to say with it, especially when it comes to the Llorwyn cards.

amazing how little it has changed since the very first set. almost verbatim. amazing that it has been in every core set. The only other card to have that honor is giant spider.

It's really saying something when your card is fourth-best in a cycle of five and is still considered one of the best cards of all time.

I'm going to comment on Every Card in Gatherer this week :)
This card is awesome because of all the Boons, it is the absolute best for being reprinted, since it has good Limited play. Wizards will design things in the future that are better than this card, but I don't think they ever plan on OBSOLETing it. They may make 2 mana +5/+5's in the far future, but I think we are always going to be able to cast Giant Growth in Standard.
I think a good distinction to make between True Power Creep and ...Power Penduluming....is 'will there ever be a day when we no longer use Giant Growths?' That day will be the day Magic is Fully Power Creeped.
Apparently the far future was a month away. Phytoburst

The iconic green pump spell, against which all others will be compared for eternity. It just teaches you so much about the game, both offensively and defensively, by giving you that extra power to knock out an opposing creature, allowing your own creatures to survive lethal damage, or forcing through that extra bit of damage to win the game. It teaches you timing, patience, and resource management, because sometimes you have to hold it instead of playing it even though you have mana open. Sometimes you need to save up mana expressly to be able to play it in response to things.
As you get better at the game, so too does your use of this card evolve with your understanding. If your opponent knows you have some in your deck, they will sometimes play cautiously because they know you have it, allowing you to play mind games and bluff having it when you don't. Combined with discard and control elements, you can save multiples in your hand for a fatal attack. You'll discover synergies for it. And it's never going to be completely useless, as long as you play green, and you have creatures.
All in all, this is the one card in the Alpha boon cycle that Wizards got completely right.

This is the perfect balance between being a solid, useful card without being overpowered. A card you could almost always find a time to use in almost any deck.
