Anyway, with a banneret on the field and Prickly boggart, you can even pay only (B) to make this effect, which is kind of powerful I think!

Ah yes, the pinnacle of boggart ranged weaponry- a fish tied to a brick. Lorwyn is doomed.

I like the idea behind tribal rogue spells, it feels like the rogue did some kinda special attack. I think the story behind the fish tied to a brick is some rogue wanted to increase his brick throwing accuracy so he observed several different beings and their methods of delivering stone projectiles to their enemies, he liked stone giant's technique but was unable to lift projectiles of that size. in the end his technique was heavily influences by goblin bombardments art and flavor text, though he found fish to have better aim and be more aerodynamic, also small enough he could throw them.

It's not just any fish tied to a brick. It's a magic fish on a brick that bestows telepathy and causes selective amnesia.

Oh no no no. Of all the cards in Lorwyn block to need a flavor text explanation, this is the one. VEEEEERY FISHY

It gets funnier when you realize that this discard spell hits (literally) the planeswalker you're facing.
"I shall summon the strongest creatures and cast the most powerful spells to destroy you!"
"No you won't." (throws the fishbrick)

Getting hit with two of these on turn three courtesy of Frogtosser Banneret is devastating. It's like getting hit with a fish wrapped around a brick.

Best discard spell in the game if they've got three cards in their hand and you've dealt combat damage with a rogue this turn.
In other words, a good card that's less effective if you don't use it right.
5/5, and that's before you factor in the fishbrick.

So if a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster is like getting hit with a slice of lemon wrapped around a gold brick, what does that make this?

I don't even know what the card does, I was distracted by the Kithkin being hit in the head by a fish tied to a brick.

Guys, that isn't a fish tied to a brick. It's obviously a brick tied to a fish.

The fish is an enchantment bestowed on the brick. Return to Lorwyn 2014 confirmed!

I wonder if that fish actually DOES have a particular use--namely, a way to more easily impart speed to the brick (i.e. rather than just throw the brick, the fish's tail lets the boggarts play hammer toss with it).
