@izzetguildmage-
yes a lot of decks run crucible, but this is great when an opponent keeps a hand low on lands, it of course costs mana to play the crucible and it needs to resolve.
If they kept only a single nonbasic land in their hand, they are in for some serious tempo problems, possibly more discards at their end step, and they are vulnerable to your stuff of course.

This thing sucks. I don't know why it's rated at a 3.75.

The scope of what it can discard is too narrow, and the fact that it's a sorcery means you'll most likely be unable to get any lands at all past turn 3.

Sure, it's narrow, but good enough for sideboard for those decks that use a lot of nonbasic land. A one-drop, it can be played on the first turn, which is when it's most useful.

@vadoff: The scope is definitely not too narrow. This is going to be played in Legacy, where about 90% of lands are nonbasic. Between fetches and duals, people only run 1 or 2 basics to combat Wasteland and such. This will hit a land on the first two turns, and it will make your opponent cry when it does.

Good card, terrible art.

Note, you also get to see their hand, which can be a big deal. I'd use this in legacy sideboard (or be ready to side it out.) There are still a lot of mono-color decks in legacy that do well (elves, gobbos, MBC, etc..) so being able to side this in as a psuedo-wasteland is a good way to hose mana-bases.
