Horrible card. If you want to deal damage, play a good creature instead, which doesn't cost you mana to deal minor amounts of lifeloss, but causes damage by actually attacking, which this guy never will.

@sweetestsadist, your view of the game is way to aggro. This card is one for a 1\1 with a great ability. It is meant for a black life loss/discard deck, this card is a sniper they are meant to be weak. Just have a few cards like Disentomb. Oh by the way you=noob.

One of the best things about this card is its ability doesn't cause it to tap, which makes it great to have out if you're playing against other black decks.

There is nothing better than a one-drop with an interesting ability. This has an interesting AND useful ability with some great art to boot. Love it.
Mostly outclassed by Thrull Parasite now. While you can only use white or black mana to extort for the Parasite and any color of mana for this, the Parasite can extort on non-black spells, meaning its usually better in a multicolor deck anyway. Plus, the Parasite gains you 1 life as well-and, if you're playing multiplaye, it becomes even more efficient. The Parasite also has a decent other effect. With that in mind, there isn't much reason to use this now.
