Cost and effect make this an extremely useful Blue card.

Calcite Snapper really does blow this out of the, ah hah, water.
Why would you want to be playing anything but turtle tribal anyway?

Sadly, with the M10 rules switch, it is no longer effectively a 4/4 that you have to maintain for 2BlueBlue.
...
So not a huge loss really.

A

Young Changeling Turtle that can surprise attack like a Ninja with 4 power.

Not enough to kill Silent-Blade Oni, but with an equipment--

like say, a Sai, a Bo staff, a Nunchuk, or a Sword ? ? ?

Yes. We have a winner :D

I think the artist did not understand that this was a changeling, not a turtle....

Ron Spencer understood fine what it was supposed to be. Look at the typical changeling face.

@Opined_Fluke: This is not worse than Calcite Snapper. I might even say it's better. The changeling's P/T can be switched at instant speed, allowing for a number of combat tricks, whereas if you want 4 damage from with the Snapper, you have to attack with it while it's a 4/1, meaning that your opponent can basically make any trade they want.

Not that either one is a particularly good card. Not bad cards either, just not really noteworthy.
