It kinda shows how strong Vampire Nighthawk really is.

This card is completely obselete. For one less mana you can get a vampire nighthawk with flying, death touch, AND lifelink.

@ BiOhyBr:
One important difference between this and Vampire Nighthawk: this is an Elf. Vampire Nighthawk is the better card, hands down, but this guy is still very good in a Elf deck, simply because it synergizes so well with one of the longest running and best supported tribes in the game. Just sayin'...

It's an elf, but that doesn't necessarily make it great. Elves are notorious for being killed by spells that cost four mana; Wrath of God, Moat, Damnation, Humility... it's important for your tempo to have as many cheap to cast elves as you can and win before they can drop things that kill your entire army. A 4 to cast elf with Deathtouch is certainly playable in limited, but with cards like Thornweald Archer and Wren's Run Vanquisher already in green, you have to ask yourself if this card is worth your time.
Having said that, 2/3 is my personal favorite power and toughness ratio of all time. Just seems like solid numbers.
