It has combo potential if you use Lavaclaw Reaches. 1 creature + 1 land = inf damage? Cool. If this hadn't rotated out of standard, it would be pretty exciting since so many decks use the manland anyway. Oh well.

The Runed Stalactite combo also works with cards with the "{1}: add mana" ability such as Skyshroud Elf or Bog Initiate. You can use the mana generated by the ability to activate it again.
