They only reprinted this to give it pretty art for once.
Too bad it's still a bad card- like a retarded Tanglebloom.

Useful as a bauble, but not much more

I once had a Veiled Sentry that turned into a 0/0 creature when this was cast. Bummer. Anyway, the fountain is a great way of using your mana when it doesn't have anything better to do. We could all do with a litlle more lifes. Exept your opponent off course.

It's effect may be crap, but it IS an artifact for 0 mana. That should make it more than a 1-star regardless of what it does (badly).

I think this cards gets too much criticism. Yeah its effect is pretty ordinary, but it does cost 0; you can't get something for nothing in Magic, unless its a Mox. Its a case of horses for courses.

Or you could use Darksteel Relic.. About the same amount of use you'd get between the two.

@thaviel why use Marble Chalice, it just costs more to play.

It does not cost nothing, it costs a card. You will loose steam quickly when you play this thing, and for what? To gain 1 life when you have no plays later on?? At least its adding to the artifact count.

Between this, Golden Urn, and Tangle Bloom, you can tell R&D was trying to figure out the right combo.

Ajani's Mantra is the most playable, but its white.
