A lot of people say Megrim is stupid. I've used a deck built with Enchantresses and 4 Megrim and 4 Underworld Dreams. This card makes that a win with only 3 Mana costing cards.

Ridiculous boost of power for a red deck. There is a reason why cards with the phrase "draw seven cards" dont come this cheap anymore. Reasons like "win here and now"..

It's a great card because it covers one of red's major weaknesses (running out of fuel late-game) and it screws with your opponent by making them draw a new hand, which is, if I'm not mistaken, unheard of among red spells and abilities. In effect, it's a powerful red card simply because its effects are so un-red.
Edit: Scratch that--Barbed Shocker causes hand manipulation too, but this is still much better.

I just found one of these at the local hobby shop common box for ten cents!!!! Score!! I hope all magic players everywhere get to have that feeling of exhilaration at least once in their lives! I love this card, and I can see myself entering magical Christmas land many a time utilizing it's bestowing powers.

At the time of Revised, every color had its own powerful goodies that made Wheel of Fortune actually somewhat balanced...sort of like the old saying, "If everyone's great, then no one is." Mind Twist and Channel got reprinted in revised, too, for example.
