This card can be useful, but very rarely for me. With a cost that's not that cheap and a tiny power and toughness to start with, it just doesn't hold up in the heat of battle. Should have been 1/2 to start with.

This is already an upgrade of good old Frozen Shade. It is still not good enough to be playable in constructed and requiring a really heavy commitment to black in limited.

The shades are always useful creatures, especially since there are shenanigans to get them unblocked due to their low P/T, eg. Dwarven Warriors, then pump them for maximum impact...
