Ah, yes, the archetypal shade. I remember when all it said was : +1/+1 and my playgroup and I interpreted that as a permanent bonus.
Underpowered because now there are better shades like Looming Shade and the always powerful Nantuko Shade, but this card has earned its place in Magic history.
