My favorite (goblin-)card. just wait until you've got enough goblins in play, then play goblin king and (if neccasary) illusionary terrain or blood moon, and bob's your uncle!

I have a goblin king with the earlier picture but the "to be king, numsgil did in..." flavor text. Does anyone know what set it came from?
WotC yanked his Lord type, but didn't give him a new class type to replace it. Now, what would fit? Assassin? Rogue?

@Ladnarud: This is the original Goblin Lord and was the only one for about ten years, so shut your pie hole. Also, as mentioned, synergizes with Blood Moon, which is already great by itself.

I have the version where he is not a goblin but just a lord and his ability says ALL goblins get +1/+1 and mountain-walk. If I use him will he be a goblin since the newer version makes him a goblin

for every one who is upset because they dont have the new one that is a goblin, calm down. this is an errata and all you need is to bring up gatherer on your phone, or print out the page to show any friend who doesnt believe that he has been errata-ed as a goblin. same reason that interrupts are now instants, and a summon creature is no different than a creature.

I'm not really feeling the Mountain Walk. It will only matter in a red v red match and at that point I would be worried about Pyroclasm than blockers.

I find it quite remarkable that the mischievous boggarts of Lorwyn, the volcanic akki of Kamigawa, and the feral whatever-they-ares of Mirrodin all recognize the authority of the same king. You wouldn't think they'd even recognize each other as the same species.
