So if your opponent is running a 1/1-token deck and decides to block your 1/1 with all of them on the field, you kill all of them! But this would die too, so there's that tradeoff.

Actually, if they block it with 1/1s only, it will survive and the 1/1s will die. It gains +1/+1 for each blocking it. Thus, if you block with 5 1/1s, it gains +5/+5, becoming 6/6......

If an opponent is running 1/1 swarm, they aren't going to block it, they'll just take the 1 damage. That aside, it's a fantastic 1 drop, with a good creature type!
