The card from a technical standpoint could have been executed in a far better way. But, mechanics aside and bringing flavor to the forefront, it's still a flavor-packed card from a flavor-packed block. And that being my big pull to the game and its cards, I give it a solid 3/5.
They really went overboard picking cards to make tributes of in this set but this flavour nod was actually worth it.

HOLY *** They printed a card version of Assembly Worker! Didn't know this card existed. Gotta love Mishra.

I can see these being pretty cool in their day. If you got two of these going with 2 Mishra's Factory, you would get this flavorful buffing by tapping each one.
Totally irrelevant since there is ridiculousness like Steel Overseer now.
That said, its a 2/2 for 3 colourless, and its a 3/3 on defense (block and tap on defense), not really that shabby
I suppose you could also make an exalted deck with this as the main attacker and the others to buff it, though thats highly cost prohibitive and not effective

In my opinion, this should have been:
Assembly-Whatever 2 Artifact : Add to your mana pool. : ~ becomes a 2/2 Assembly-Worker artifact creature until end of turn. : Target Assembly-Worker creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.
Like a Mishra's Factory, but in artifact form... They say that a land can be, generally speking, an artifact that costs , so I think that this should be appropriate. Also, in this way, there is another creature type that isn't in any creature card, like Saproling (exept for changelings and Mistform Ultimus).
However, nice card. Nothing special, but the flavour text is amazing!

Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.
This card is referencing Mishra's Factory, representing the creature that land becomes. Its mana cost allows it to be played off mana from a single Mishra's Workshop as well.

Is the flavor that the batteries (I assume the yellow tubes are batteriess) are low and the cane imply this is years later and that they will never stop until they run out of fuel?

However the art just looks so epic.
