Very solid imo. Kill a Path to Exile or Oblivion Ring, at instant speed, for 3-4 mana, and gain 2-3 life in the process.

I think you mean Journey to nowhere, but yeah it is actually a pretty solid card.

versatile for the life gain as long as you have mana.

Strictly better than Scully

green, potentially more expensive take on Terashi's grasp.

Terashi's grasp is a sorcery, so its in a different category.

Ide rather run Naturalize. Life gain rarely wins games.

It's like an inverted Detonate. I can get behind that.

A friend of mine plays it in his EDH deck.

it's fine, I guess, but tragically, he doesn't play Naturalize. I really wonder why (It's a Mono-Green deck, btw)

Should have had a fox on the art.

Mash up Detonate and Crumble. You know what, make a Divine Offering to that stew. It tastes great, but is rather pricey... unless you used a Mox as the base.

Nearly every card in Time Spiral block was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.

This card references the card Detonate and arguably Crumble.
