it's like a Finks you can play in a non-white EDH deck!

A lot of people compare this with Kitchen Finks, which is rightful. I like Feeder better, because it has more utility than Finks, not to mention ways to put counters on it to prolong its healing.

Where is the Spike feeder in the art?
Trick question! look very closely at the top of the "fruit" (It has a Spike head)

If I block a 2/2 creature with spike feeder am I able to have it deal combat damage and then remove a counter from it and gain 2 life?

Of all the cards to timeshift, why this? Oh well, it is almost as good today as it was when first printed. Makes racing so much harder for your opponent, just as it always did. Not as hard as cousin Weaver, but hard.

O_O Is that a little spike nursing on spike nipples?
Nice healing, even if someone uses removal on it you still get 4 life for {1}{G}{G} which is only {1} more than Nourish. However, my favorite spike is still Spike Cannibal for its ability to kill arcbound annoyances.
