Its funny, ive been seeing this card since revised in my collection but never played with it that much. Its not a bad card, gets a creature in play with no other tricks, and a decent casting cost. Not a great card, but solid.

4/5

I got three just lying around because of timespiral, never bothered to use them. Maybe one day I will make a reanimater deck. Sounds boring.

Man when I remember this card back in the day. I had a bunch of old cards from beta and unlimited! UGH my little brother seriously traded them for a crap skateboard when I passed them down to him. Then I got back into magic and freakin regretted it SOOO bad! Anyways, this is a classic. I think that the timeshifted cards are really cool for beginners that are young or haven't played in years (like me), and have a hard time finding older cards. These old cards have that nostalgia about them that seriously just feels great. There have been few cards that really make me feel that feeling.

I remember playing with this back in the day. I never understood why black was always the res color. White is all about healing.

Classic.
In an all white deck, I would rather use this than the newer and strictly better 3White versions just for nostalgia's sake.

Also, I sometimes use Miraculous Recovery instead to get it at instant speed.

Strictly worse than Breath of Life and False Defeat (note the mana costs), but by such a slim margin that it's hardly noticeable.

What's so great about this is that you can use it in Modern. Sure, there are better options for white in Legacy, but this can be used for all kinds of combos or just ridiculous things, like pulling an Eldrazi out turn 4 after discarding it within your first few turns.

4/5 just for Modern use.

If I recall correctly, this was one of the cards removed from the game after Third Edition due to objections from religious groups. I guess it died down.

(And, seriously? They objected to this and the demons and the pentagram on Unholy Strength, but not to people summoning a Serra Angel and using it as a shock troop in wizardly brawls?)

Anyway, while mentioning alternatives, see also Hymn of Rebirth for white-green decks.
