This is an awesome card, even out of it's own set. I wish I came across it during Time Spiral.

Back in the old days, 4 toughness is a key because it's beyond Incinerate and Lightning Bolt range (as well as many other burn spells). Protection from White, means it cannot be Swords to Plowshare either, and bypasses white weenies. This is a good card and had its era of glory.

It would've been nice for red to get something like this in a recent set as payback for Kor Firewalker. Nowadays, his firebreathing could probably cost 1 red.

It is fun to see how some cards get rated a 3.3/5, when in their day they would have been rated 4.0+/5. This was a great card back when Incinerate and StP were all over the place.

This card was insane back when it came out. I suspect people only hate it because of the ridiculous creatures around now. Believe it or not kiddies games didn't end on the third turn back then.

Immune to Path to Exile and passes the Lightning Bolt test. It is surprisingly rare to find both characteristics in a creature. As a bonus it doesn't die to Abrupt Decay either.
